Day 10 || 30 Day Anime Challenge

Favourite Fighter Anime

It's funny how the title suddenly pops up in my head when I read today's theme. Looks like I'll have to go along with it then.

Characters from Jojo's Bizzare Adventures

“Well, my arms are folded and my eyes are closed, this is a victory laugh, Esidisi. You lost today because you snoozed for 2000 years.” ~ Joseph

“Impossible? We did a lot of impossible things on this journey. I’m tired of hearing that things are impossible or useless. Those words mean nothing to us.” ~ Jotaro

Muscles. Muscles everywhere~(I can't believe I just typed that). This whole series is just jammed pack with action that you can expect another epic battle in the next few minutes just as the opening music ended in the anime.

Written by Hirohiko Araki and published by Shueisha, the whole series started from a Weekly Shounen Jump magazine in the 1980s and has been moved to Ultra Jump since 2005. Initially targeting the young male audience, the anime was also well received by the female viewers as well.

The setting of the story starts out with the Joestar family. A rich family taking in an orphan from a man that once saved the master of the household. Rivalry struck between the youths and hatred was born from the tragic incident. Cursed, the story then proceeds to show the lineage of the Joestar bloodline taking down the evil that stems from the said incident.

Each story follows different members of the Joestar family whose names were ironically shortened to the name Jojo and possess unique powers to face their enemies.

After thoughts & Conclusion

Amazing that no normal words can easily describe them. The arcs that I tend to favour more are Joseph Joestar's and Jotaro's out of the 4 arcs that the anime has shown. The manga itself has gone way over pass many other arcs and Jojo's but watching the anime is enough to bring out the kid in me. I just love the idea of having a spirit like beings as a companion in fights (somewhat similar to Shaman King as well). The whole process of analysing each other's strengths, weaknesses and tactics on how they would compensate said weaknesses to turn the tides of battle really sets one's adrenaline pumping for more action.

Thanks for reading~
