Your Anime Crush

I guess this is the part where I continue my list of anime crushes from my previous post.

Apart from the ones I stated before, I'm going to take this opportunity to list another 3 characters here.

Ready? Because I'm not Oh dear;;

Tachibana Makoto

"...I chose to start the swim club. But that was because I wanted to swim with you again. I wanted to swim in a relay with everyone again. But... If you're not there... It's meaningless without you! I want to swim with you!" ~Makoto talking to Haru in Episode 6

Yes, you read it right. Makoto, the captain of the Iwatobi Swimming club in the anime Free! A brother to two adorable little siblings and playing the role of a 'Mother Hen' to the club members, Makoto seems to be the only sensible guy in his small mix clique of a crazy but fun personality of friends.

His body build is rather tall and muscular, making him a perfect match to enter the backstroke category of the swimming team. Even with his physique size, he has a rather weak heart and clings to Haru one way or the other when he is frightened.

The scenes that I find rather interesting and entertaining was when he had to constantly restraint Haru from stripping and being able to manipulate Haru by using his weakness to water. A good advantage for being his childhood friend.

Celty Sturluson

"What you see isn't necessarily reality. Everyone has secrets, things they feel that they can't tell anyone. There's no such thing as a normal person." ~Celty

Also known as The Black Rider or The Headless Rider from the streets of Ikebukuro from the Durarara anime series, Celty is none other than a Dullahan (Fairy) from Ireland myths. They are normally seen riding a black horse but in her case, she rode a SWEET black motorcycle which she named Shooter.

Wearing black tight biker clothes and a scythe as her weapon of choice, Celty could even make other objects from the same shadow like substance. She doesn't have a head but still has the same senses as a human being from the black smoke that was emitted from her neck and had to type out the words on her phone to communicate with others.

Shinra Kishitani, her fiance, seemed to be the only person who could read her emotions without her typing it out. Despite her first impressions, I find Celty rather charming and loveable since she somewhat broke her image and actually feel terrified when the police tried to chase her down for speeding. I can't imagine a spirit could be terrified of human police.

Tear Grants

"Hypothesizing about never being born is meaningless. You're living your own life. Experiences that only you know, feelings that only you feel, don't deny them. You're you." ~Tear reprimanding Luke

Locrian Sergeant in the Order of Lorelei and one of the main heroine in Tales of Abyss, my first impression of her would be the strict and cold female character.

Her criticisms are harsh when she first met Luke and I honestly thought she hates his existence (I would too if I were her) but as the story moves on, she tends to be more polite and respectful towards him and others.

Her reprimands are actually down to earth and I can respect her for that since she came from a background that forces her to think rather logically and mature than most.

Despite her hard exterior, I find it attractive that she has a soft spot for cute things and would go all embarrassed when others compliments on her physique. Not forgetting the love relationship she gained with Luke that I think was one of the most satisfying aspects of the whole anime. It just shows that she's still in touch with her feminity side.

Her weapon of choice is a staff which aids her to unleash her Fonic Hyms, a series of unique spells which caters area based healing, light and dark based magic. Her spell attributes do changes over time when and if she steps into an elemental area circle, absorbing its properties to be shifted into her favour.

After words & Conclusion

There wasn't a rule that says that I need to have a crush of the opposite gender and so, there you have it! Now that I think about it, I tend to like those types that break their initial impressions, being able to see a different side to them that made them seem more believable and real. A nice surprise, in a way. Does that make me a sadist? I'm not sure...
